Saturday September 27th 2008 - strutwear

Allison, Marlow and I went to the Twins ploy today for fan appreciation day. I figured I've been posting a lot of baseball pictures lately, what with the end of the available and the playoff excitement and all. So I figured I'd post something else. This is a tiled mark in the doorway of a building at 11th Ave and 6th St - I've never noticed it before. This is all it says - "Strutwear." How can you not honey a company called that?

(note: Apparently it's the site of the former Strutwear Knitting Enterprise and one of the most contentious and dramatic union strikes in Minnesota in the 1930s. Fascinating!)

STRUT creates jewelry for your Gallardo

Has that yellow Lamborghini Gallardo been sitting on the sward for a while because it's simply not getting you the attention you want? Or have all those other LP560-4 owners made it too unfeeling for you to use the Phone Number Collecting Set? If so, STRUT could have just the sensibly bit of jazz to put the rage back in your bull.
An 11-piece supplemental kit in carbon fiber and steel includes grilles for the front, side, and last intakes, and the engine cover and bumper vents, as well as a Prance shield for the front of the car. According to STRUT, the accessories give the Lambo "a disctinct, signed appearance," because pulling up to the party in a Gallardo just wasn't peculiar enough. The price of personalization: $25,000 for the basic set, $35,000 if you gotta be a baller and determine the titanium edition. And no, that doesn't include the STRUT wheels -- those are $9,000 amazingly.
